You too can support smart, literary theatre for a fraction of what it cost
Elizabeth I, Louis XIV, and Mad King Ludwig.
We're lean, mean (just check out this photo) and we need some green! We spend
most of our money on production costs, so even a small contribution helps bring
classic theatre out of the library and onto the stage.
Just check out what we're planning for 2010:
-
The 3nd Annual SWAN (Support Women Artists Now) Day -- March 27, in Georgetown.
An all day, multi-venue arts fest featuring emerging women playwrights, directors,
poets and other writers -- and more actors than vast hell can hold!
-
BELLE PARRICIDE, a collaborative theatre piece about the most shocking murder
of the Italian rennaissance. Five women playwrights, Rebecca Nesvet, Lori Fischer,
Lucy Tyler, Monique LaForce and Alia Faith Williams, re-interpret the famous/infamous
Beatrice Cenci.
-
Our 5th Capital Fringe Festival Production -- TIS A PITY SHE'S A WHORE by
John Ford. After four Fringe hits, we're going back to our roots, taking our
lives in our hands, and presenting a bona fide classic for Fringe!
-
Plus a few other things that aren't definite enough yet to put 'em on the web.
